Staff Software Engineer to lead a squad, own a product area end-to-end, drive frontend and backend architecture, and stay hands-on while raising engineering quality across AiPrise.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping production software.

• Strong full-stack fundamentals across APIs, data modeling, UI architecture, performance, and debugging.

• Proven ownership of projects from technical design through production delivery.

• Experience making pragmatic technical trade-offs under ambiguity.

• Strong communication skills and ability to drive alignment across engineering and product.

• Experience leading technical initiatives or engineering teams.

• Strong understanding of software quality, testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

• React and TypeScript experience is a plus.

• Python with Flask/FastAPI or Node.js experience is a plus.

• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL experience is a plus.

• Experience in fintech, compliance, fraud, risk, workflow systems, or B2B SaaS is a plus.

• Experience building internal tools for operations teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad and own delivery for a product area from roadmap to execution.

• Drive technical design across frontend and backend systems and make pragmatic architecture decisions.

• Stay hands-on and personally ship critical parts of the product.

• Build and launch new product surfaces end-to-end.

• Raise engineering quality through code reviews, patterns, testing, and best practices.

• Mentor engineers through clear feedback, technical guidance, and ownership.

• Partner with Product and Design to simplify complex compliance workflows into effective user experiences.

• Improve system performance, reliability, observability, security, and cost efficiency.

• Drive technical alignment across engineering and product teams.

• Set a high engineering bar while maintaining speed in a fast-moving startup environment.
