Staff Platform Engineer

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in platform or software engineering

• Strong coding skills with Python

• Expertise in serverless architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems

• Proven experience building SaaS applications on AWS

• Strong understanding of AWS services like Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway

• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems

• Strong problem-solving skills and system optimization experience

• Ability to influence teams without direct authority

• Excellent communication skills

• AWS certification and experience with Boto3, Docker, Kubernetes, or other cloud platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform components

• Lead architectural initiatives across teams

• Build secure and efficient modules aligned with business goals

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams

• Mentor senior and lead engineers

• Identify and implement innovative solutions

• Own platform reliability, performance, and scalability

• Drive initiatives to reduce tech debt and improve reusability
