Senior Python Developer - Remote

We are hiring a Senior Python Engineer with strong backend experience to build, scale and maintain core systems at SimStar in Bengaluru.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Python development

• Strong understanding of web frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask, FastAPI)

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)

• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, microservices architecture

• Good knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines

• Experience in performance tuning, scalability, security best practices

• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Ability to write clean, well‑tested, maintainable code

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs

• Work with frontend and product teams to integrate systems

• Optimize performance, scalability, reliability of services

• Ensure security, data integrity, and compliance

• Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews

• Participate in product planning, architecture decisions

• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
