Senior Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to take end-to-end ownership of infrastructure, CI/CD, and platform security in a high-scale cybersecurity startup.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a Platform Engineer or SRE owning the DevOps lifecycle and infrastructure

• Strong infrastructure and DevOps fundamentals beyond just tool usage

• High ownership and ability to define priorities and platform roadmap independently

• Ability to work productively in a remote setup with self-managed energy and time

• End-to-end ownership mindset across CI/CD, monorepo orchestration, commit hooks, and infra

• Willingness to learn and own cloud security, including SIEM/XDR like Wazuh and AWS CloudTrail

• Experience with Terraform, AWS (preferred), Azure, GitHub Actions, and pre-commit hooks

• Comfortable working in polyglot monorepo (Go, Python, JS) and with NATS, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse

• Proactive communicator who contributes meaningfully to team discussions

• Currently employed at a product-based organisation

Responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure using Terraform, AWS, and Azure across compute and AI workloads

• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and other automation

• Own platform health, deployments, rollbacks, cost tracking, and security integration

• Work closely with the SoC team to implement effective alerting and monitoring systems

• Contribute to monorepo tooling, commit hooks, and orchestration via Makefiles

• Participate in scaling compute/storage systems, identifying bottlenecks, and improving them

• Define and maintain the backlog of platform work and infrastructure improvements

• Drive migration towards hybrid cloud architecture for sensitive enterprise clients

• You will be doing deployments in dev

In 30 days:

• You manage the infra via Terraform, tune existing CI/CD

• You will do assisted deployments in prod

In 60 days:

• You are well versed in prod deployments and rollbacks

• You will fine tune and scale compute and storage systems

• Build a mental model of system choke points and create backlog of platform work

In 90 days:

• You are aware of infrastructure costs and maintain the cost sheet

• Delegate security monitoring to the SoC team

• Take up opportunities to write tooling for the monorepo

In the future:

• Be part of the team migrating to hybrid cloud architecture using a cloud-native stack

• Support deployments on private cloud or customer data centres
