Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience

• Strong proficiency in Go, Rust, or similar systems-oriented languages

• Experience building transactional or correctness-critical backend systems

• Strong understanding of databases, indexing, and consistency guarantees

• Experience with event-driven systems and workflow orchestration

• Experience integrating external APIs reliably

• Strong debugging and operational skills

• Ability to work independently in a senior, lean engineering team

• Currently working at a product-based organisation

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ledger and accounting workflows

• Build event-driven services and transaction pipelines

• Develop backend APIs for mobile and internal systems

• Integrate identity, verification, and value movement systems

• Define and enforce system invariants and data correctness rules

• Implement monitoring, observability, and reliability tooling

• Write high-quality, well-tested backend code

• Collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer on architecture and delivery
