Lead DevOps and Security Engineer - Remote

Lead DevOps & Security Engineer to own platform operations, CI/CD, and security posture. Drive reliability, scalability, and SOC 2 compliance across a multi-cloud environment.

Requirements

• 5–8 years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles with security experience

• Strong hands-on experience with GCP (primary), AWS, and Azure

• Production experience with Kubernetes (GKE preferred)

• End-to-end ownership of CI/CD pipelines (Java, Python, React/TypeScript)

• Strong programming skills; ability to build tools and automation

• Experience with observability (logging, metrics, alerting, SLOs)

• Security expertise: IAM, secrets management, vulnerability management, supply chain security

• Experience with SAST, DAST, container scanning, dependency tracking

• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills

• Familiarity with AI tools and interest in driving adoption

Responsibilities

• Own deployment lifecycle: releases, rollback, runbooks, promotion gates

• Manage multi-cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines across services

• Define and track SLOs; lead incident response and postmortems

• Implement and maintain observability across systems

• Improve developer experience and reduce operational friction

• Document infrastructure and mentor engineers

• Own end-to-end security posture across infra, pipelines, and apps

• Implement security tooling: SAST, DAST, scanning, dependency tracking

• Manage secrets lifecycle and IAM policies

• Lead SOC 2 compliance: controls, evidence, audits

• Handle security incidents: detection, triage, remediation
