Engineering Manager (Javascript) - Bengaluru

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our backend team in building scalable, high-performance systems using Node.js, microservices, and distributed technologies for millions of users.

Requirements
• 8 years of backend development experience
• 2–3 years in a technical leadership or management role
• Strong expertise in Node.js and backend development
• Deep knowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systems (Kafka or similar)
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Containerization & orchestration skills (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proven leadership, mentoring, communication, and collaboration skills
• Focus on system reliability, performance tuning, and scalability

Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a high-performing backend team
• Architect scalable, high-performance backend systems using Node.js
• Build and maintain microservices-based architectures
• Design and manage event-driven systems with Kafka
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and stakeholders to deliver impactful features
• Ensure backend reliability, performance, and scalability
• Drive technical decision-making and best practices
• Partner with DevOps and cloud infrastructure teams for deployment and monitoring
