Join Dodge AI as a Software Engineer focused on backend engineering, building AI-powered products for enterprise ERP systems. This is a 0-1 role for engineers who enjoy startup environments and working from the office.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with strong backend engineering experience.

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to build production-grade backend systems.

  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications using APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar.

  • Experience designing and building AI application-layer systems, including agents, harnesses, tool calling, and functional calling.

  • Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol), context engineering, and structured outputs.

  • Experience with model routing, LLM workflows, and building reliable production systems around models.

  • Comfortable taking ownership in ambiguous, early-stage problem spaces.

  • Open to building products from 0-1 and iterating quickly based on feedback.

  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and systems thinking skills.

  • Ability to work closely with product and engineering teams.

  • Willing to work from the office in HSR, Bengaluru.

  • Must have experience working at a startup.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain backend systems for Dodge AI's products

  • Own features end-to-end, from understanding the problem to production

  • Build reliable APIs, services, integrations, and supporting infrastructure

  • Work on complex engineering problems involving AI-powered enterprise workflows

  • Debug production issues and improve system reliability and performance

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn ambiguous problems into simple solutions

  • Contribute to engineering practices as the product and team scale
